Eirð
Eirð is an exclusive waterfront retreat in Iceland, located on the stunning south coast. This vacation rental Iceland is uniquely situated on a peninsula by Lake Gislholtsvatn, offering extra privacy and a deep connection to nature, perfect for those seeking a mindfulness retreat in Iceland.
Eirð features one main building, along with three spacious guest houses, harmoniously blending traditional Scandinavian lodge style with modern architecture. The original building includes three bedrooms, a large kitchen, a cozy library with a wood-burning stove, a dining room boasting direct south-facing views of the lake, and a living room with a fireplace, complemented by two bathrooms with showers.
The new large building includes four bedrooms, each equipped with its own bathroom and shower. This building also offers a large room designed for yoga sessions or seminars, which can be rented separately.
Each of our three guest houses comes with two single beds (which can be converted into a double), a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette featuring a refrigerator and small freezer. Additionally, each guest house is equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker and speakers.
Overall, Eirð has a total of 10 bedrooms, making it well-suited for up to 20 guests. While we can arrange extra beds for up to three more people, we currently accept a maximum of 20 guests to ensure a comfortable and intimate experience.
Local activities
Eirð itself offers kayak rentals (to use directly on Gislholtsvatn lake) and mountain bike rentals (for bike tours in the immediate vicinity) upon special request, making it an ideal spot for a mindfulness retreat in Iceland.
Within 30-70 minutes from Eirð, you will find major tourist attractions such as Geysir, Gullfoss, Mount Hekla, the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano (featuring a modern visitor center at Hvolsvöllur), river rafting on the Hvítá river, horseback riding, Kerið crater, and Þórsmörk highlands.
At Eirð, you will also find a detailed guide to restaurants and tourist attractions in the vicinity. This guide can be emailed to you as a PDF upon order confirmation, helping you plan your vacation rental in Iceland and making the most of your waterfront retreat in Iceland.
Rates
Eirð requires booking of the whole property, which includes one original building, a new larger building, and three spacious guest houses. This unique combination blends old Scandinavian lodge style with modern Scandinavian architecture, making it an ideal mindfulness retreat in Iceland.
Our pricing can be viewed on our booking site, where we charge nightly for our vacation rental in Iceland. Cleaning fees are included in the pricing, ensuring a hassle-free stay at our waterfront retreat in Iceland.
